But it\u2019s all good! Overall, meal planning went smoothly. <!--more-->\n<hr>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">GROCERY SHOPPING = $139.28<\/h6>\n<p>Monday morning Trader Joe\u2019s run $94.28 and about $45 at the farmers market (I paid in cash, so I can\u2019t exactly remember\u2026).<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">TAKEOUT = $105.38<\/h6>\n<p>Monday morning Panera breakfast ($5.51), Monday lunch ($16.61), Monday night dinner ($65.62 with tip), Thursday lunch out with the kids ($17.64).<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h6>Monday Lunch<\/h6>\n<p>Today is the last day for the hardwood staining \/ sanding. The baby and I stay out of the house all morning after we drop the toddler off at preschool. We swing by Chick-fil-A (no surprise there!) on our way back.<\/p>\n<h6>\nMonday Dinner<\/h6>\n<p>Since the kitchen \/ dining room is still unusable, we go out to eat. We try a new restaurant and it\u2019s excellent. The four of us split a spicy pasta dish and a meatball pizza (photo above).<\/p>\n<h6>Tuesday Lunch<\/h6>\n<p>I\u2019m finally able to use my kitchen again, so take all morning meal prepping, cleaning out the fridge, and doing all the things. Tonight is finally the night. I\u2019m the only one who enjoyed it. The toddler barely ate and my husband wasn\u2019t a fan. Oh well.<\/p>\n<h6>Wednesday Lunch<\/h6>\n<p>Frozen Indian meals plus fresh rice and naan.<\/p>\n<h6>Wednesday Dinner<\/h6>\n<p>I have an evening commitment, so I make sure my husband and the kids have vodka pasta and meatballs for dinner.<\/p>\n<h6>Thursday Lunch<\/h6>\n<p>It rained all morning and into the afternoon. Since we couldn\u2019t go to the playground, I took the kids to the Play Street Museum. Due to car naps and the timing, I swung by Chick-fil-A (again, sigh, I know) for our lunch. And because of COVID, there was no where to eat except the car. We had a picnic in the front seat and I\u2019m still wiping up crumbs\u2026<\/p>\n<h6>Thursday Dinner<\/h6>\n<p>Chicken marsala night! Paired with a kale salad and couscous.<\/p>\n<h6>Friday Lunch<\/h6>\n<p>We spent as long as we could at the playground, but my god it was windy and freezing for late March. We had leftover pasta and meatballs for lunch, which warmed everyone up. And then we needed to bathe the kids, because somehow vodka sauce was in each kids hair afterwards?<\/p>\n<h6>Friday Dinner<\/h6>\n<p>The toddler and I spent a long, long time prepping and cooking my signature butter chicken dish, paired with naan and rice for Shabbat dinner. It was excellent and the toddler ate three bowls worth. We spent the morning at the farmers market for veggies, pork, and chicken. We came home to make sandwiches for lunch. Afterwards, the toddler and I made homemade play dough. I thought it would be a bigger hit than it was. Oh well.<\/p>\n<h6>Saturday Dinner<\/h6>\n<p>I purchased pork tenderloin at the farmers market, plus lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I roasted the pork with fresh rosemary, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. It was so, so, so good. Plus white rice and an easy salad.<\/p>\n<h6>Sunday Lunch<\/h6>\n<p>PB&amp;J sandwiches for the kids, Indian meals for the adults.<\/p>\n<h6>Sunday Dinner<\/h6>\n<p>Chicken breasts that were purchased from the farmers market yesterday. Paired with a tomato basil pan sauce, roasted broccoli, and couscous from earlier this week.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>All and all, I\u2019m proud of how the weekly meals turned out.
